Chris Peters lives and paints in Los Angeles, California. He
will be teaching a
weekend workshop at the
Gage Academy of Art on March 29-30, 2008.
The 45 year old artist was raised on Bainbridge Island,
Washington. He trained for three years at the Gage Academy of Art, completing
their Drawing/Painting certificate program that emphasizes
academic painting
techniques.
Mr. Peters work has been exhibited in numerous galleries devoted the
the Los Angeles Pop Surrealism / Lowbrow Art movement,
including Copro/Nason Gallery in Santa Monica, La Luz de Jesus in Hollywood,
and as a featured artist for Cannibal Flower.
Mr. Peters holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree
from the University of Washington.
